These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the AceTCF online TCF exam preparation service (“Service”) operated by AceTCF (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service you represent that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

2. Account & security

You are responsible for safeguarding access to your email account (which is used for magic-link sign-in) and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute access to the Service.
Scrape, mass-download, or otherwise extract our question bank or audio assets.
Use bots, scripts, or any automated means to access the Service in ways that consume disproportionate resources.
Create multiple accounts to abuse the trial or referral program.
Interfere with the security or integrity of the Service.
Upload or share content that infringes copyright, is illegal, or harms others.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, without refund.

4. Subscription & billing

Free trial. New accounts receive a 3-day free trial with full Core access. The trial does not require a payment method and does not auto-convert into a paid subscription.
Paid plans. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance per cycle (monthly, quarterly, or annual) and auto-renew at the end of each cycle until cancelled.
Cancellation. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle; you keep access until then.
Price changes. We may change subscription pricing. We will provide at least 30 days’ notice via email before any increase affects your renewal. Your continued use after the change constitutes acceptance.
Taxes. Prices shown exclude applicable sales tax, VAT, or GST/HST. Taxes will be added at checkout where required.

5. Refunds

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. In short: contact us within 7 days of your first paid charge for a full refund if you have not made substantial use of the paid features.

6. Referrals

Each account receives a unique referral code. Sharing the link with friends can earn you free trial time according to the rules shown on the referral page. We may revoke referral bonuses obtained through fraud, fake accounts, or other abuse.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its content, software, design, audio, and text, is owned by AceTCF or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own TCF preparation. No other rights are granted.

TCF is a trademark of France Éducation international. AceTCF is an independent preparation service and is not affiliated with or endorsed by them.

8. Your content

You own the content you create on the Service (notes, vocabulary entries, etc.). You grant us a limited license to store and process this content solely to operate the Service for you.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that using it will result in a passing TCF score. Your TCF results depend on many factors outside our control.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.

11. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts located in Toronto, Ontario, except where local consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced on this page and, where required, by email. Your continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.
